Should I file an insurance claim before getting a roofer to inspect the damage?
It is always recommended to get an inspection BEFORE filing a claim in order to avoid “zero-paid-outs” and to ensure there is enough damage to substantiate a claim.
Will you assist with the insurance claim process if I haven't filed yet?
We will do our best to facilitate all insurance communication throughout the project, however, there are instances where an insurance company will be more responsive to a homeowner. In this case, we will request your help.
Are you licensed and insured?
7th Generation is licensed in 6 counties along the front range (El Paso, Elbert, Fremont, Huerfano, Teller, and Pueblo Counties) as well as several municipal principalities.
Do you provide a written estimate?
We provide free inspections and written estimates.
How long will the job take?
Re-roofs can vary, but in most cases, we can complete a roof and gutters in about 1-3 days.
Do you offer warranties for your work?
7th Generation Roofing offers a 7-year labor warranty on roof replacements in most cases.
How will you protect my property during the project?
Our crews tarp all landscaping and vulnerable areas and we have at least 2 site clean-ups throughout the process, including the rolling of a magnet to pick up any loose nails.
Do you remove the old roof?
El Paso county requires the removal of all roof layers down to decking before installing a new roof. Some counties are on a case-by-case basis, but in most situations, a full removal is necessary.
How will you ensure proper ventilation in my attic?
7th Generation installs all projects according to the International Building Code, regional jurisdiction requirements, and manufacturers’ specifications.
What permits are required, and do you handle them?
We pull all permits on projects over 100 square feet, as required by local building departments.
